Hope…I guess that’s what it all comes down to.
I think maybe we’re all holding on to something…waiting for the other shoe to drop, hoping that it doesn’t…but if we all just sat around waiting for that rubber sole to hit the pavement, we would never go anywhere. Nothing would ever happen. We would all be stagnant, in suspense, poised for the “what if.”
Who wants to wait for “what if?” If you are ever going to move forward, you need take your risks, play your hand, and hope that things will work out the way you want them to. It’s your responsibility to stop waiting, put the other foot down and take the next step along your path.
Some are lucky enough that things just happen for them. The universe seems to move at their every whim, and the earth molds to their desires…but for most, we need the motivation and the confidence to make things happen…to shape our own universe…to create our own gravitational pull.
…and when you hold on to hope, and things turn out the way you want them to—when you get what you want—that uncomfortable feeling of not knowing, the risk, seems more like an adventure, an experience worth having.
It’s what makes us who we are…it helps us write our story.
I never believed that I could actually do the things that I have done in this life…in fact, it never crossed my mind as even a possibility that I could be where I am today…At one time, that hope did not exist for me, but I was pushed by people close to me, my eyes were opened, and I took many risks to get here…and I couldn’t be happier with my choices.
I hope you are happy with yours.
